Hall Effect Measurement

Hall Analysis

Convert Hall measurement reports into structured results, then compare mobility, resistivity, carrier density, and sheet resistance in one workflow.

Supported formats

.txt, .dat, .csv

Available analysis features

  • Hall Report

Review sample information, measurement conditions, Hall coefficients, and resistance values from uploaded reports.

Hall Report values depend on parsed report fields and measurement conditions; review carrier type, units, and condition metadata before comparing samples.

  • Metric Graph

Choose mobility, resistivity, carrier density, or Rs to compare selected Hall results across uploaded samples.

Metric Graph comparisons use selected parsed metrics, so check unit consistency and sample labels before interpreting cross-sample trends.

  • Summary Table

Review carrier type, mobility, resistivity, Hall coefficient, carrier density, and sheet resistance in table and CSV outputs.

Summary Table values are parsed report outputs; verify carrier sign, sheet resistance, and source metadata before exporting them for reporting.

What this tool can review

  • Hall report conversion

Read Hall report fields and show sample metadata, conditions, Hall values, voltage tables, and resistance values.

  • Metric Graph

Select up to two Hall result metrics for left/right-axis comparison across uploaded samples.

  • Sample comparison

Compare mobility, resistivity, carrier density magnitude, and sheet resistance by sample name.

  • Summary and raw CSV

Review key Hall results in the summary table and download summary or raw parsed report values.

Typical use cases

  • Review Hall effect measurement reports from multiple samples in one workspace.
  • Compare mobility, resistivity, carrier density, and sheet resistance across samples.
  • Check carrier type and Hall coefficient values beside measurement conditions.
  • Export summary and raw parsed Hall report values for follow-up review.

FAQ

What happens after I drop a Hall report?

The measurement report is converted into structured sample metadata, conditions, Hall values, voltage tables, and resistance values. From there, the workspace helps you compare selected Hall metrics across samples.

Which Hall metrics can I compare in the graph?

Metric Graph currently lets you choose mobility, resistivity, carrier density, and Rs. The first two selected metrics are shown in the main graph, while the summary and CSV preserve the parsed report values.

How are my measurement files handled?

Files uploaded to this analysis tool are processed in the current browser session for graph conversion and analysis. The tool does not send files outside or save them without user permission.

Supported workflow

  • Graph Conversion turns Hall report files into structured sample-comparison views.
  • Hall Report reads fields such as sample name, current, magnetic field, RH, mobility, resistivity, carrier density, and Rs.
  • Metric Graph compares selected Hall metrics across uploaded samples using one or two Y axes.
  • Summary Table keeps carrier type, Hall coefficient, conditions, and parsed report values available in table and CSV outputs.
